In 1943 Yitzhak was enlisted in a forced labor unit, escaped, arrived in Budapest and lived under a false name as a refugee from Carpatho-Ruthenia. After the Germans entered Hungary on 19.3.1944, he joined the underground activities of his movement. He delivered food and forged documents to the Jews living in Protected Houses. Yitzhak was caught a few times by Arrow Cross men but always managed to escape. During the German occupation he operated wearing the uniform of an officer of the Hungarian army. As member of the “Kiska” unit, Itzhak was in charge of the security of the movement’s underground activities. In 1946 he made aliya. He died during a visit to Budapest.
